The Newton Community School District (NCSD) consists of approximately 2,800 students and 260 instructors. The district is housed in 11 facility complexes, 7 schools, an administration center, a transportation building, a technology office, and a maintenance building.

The Newton Community School District is accepting bids for a partial roof replacement at Aurora Heights Elementary. Bid specifications can be obtained from Jack Suttek, Maintenance Supervisor, 641-417-3672. Sealed bids are due by 3:30 PM on Monday, June 2, 2025, to the Director of Business Services, 1302 1st Ave W, Newton, IA 50208.
